That is the energy behind Afro Mic at Demi’s.

Hosted at Demi’s Nigerian Restaurant & Bar in Streatham and featuring Deejay Why and Big Micks, Afro Mic is our Friday night karaoke experience built around throwback Afrobeats, Afrobeat classics, sing-along moments, good food, cocktails, and the kind of crowd that knows how to turn a simple night out into a memory.

This is not your quiet, awkward karaoke night where people are scared to sing.

Of course, it would not be Demi’s without food on the table.

Before the mic gets passed around, start the night properly with Nigerian favourites from our menu. Order suya, peppered snails, chicken wings, pepper soup, jollof rice, fried rice, spicy turkey, or whatever your table is craving.

Afro Mic works best when the table is full, a few starters to share, drinks going round, mains landing hot, and everyone slowly getting comfortable enough to sing louder than they planned.

And if you are coming early, our Happy Hour runs every day from 12 PM to 6 PM, with two cocktails for the price of one on selected cocktails. It is the perfect way to start the night before Afro Mic takes over.

Afro Mic happens on selected Fridays, returning every few weeks so each edition feels like something to look forward to.
